Position Overview
Our Stock Room Attendants manage the delivery of materials to production. This work is instrumental in the overall manufacturing process because our manufacturing process begins with our Stock Room Attendants. Stock metal is delivered to Syndicate, inspected and measured, hauled off from delivery trucks, and metal is cut into stock. Machine Operators will then machine the stock metal cut by our Stock Attendants. As material and supplies come close to running out it's the Stock Room Attendants responsibility to communicate needs to reorder supplies. They also assist in our Machine Shop with other tasks as-needed.
Job Responsibilities
- Keep a safe, clean, and organized workspace
- Cut and deliver the correct stock to the Machine Operators
- Receive stock orders by loading off loading material from delivery trucks
- Handling sharp metals, machined turnings, separating scrap parts for certified destruction, and loading trucks with recyclable material
- Comply with safe work practices; understanding work injury procedures, workers comp, and safety standards
- Operate and maintain heavy duty equipment including band saws, cold saws, bar chamfering machines, and forklifts
- Tracking stock inventory through an ERP system on a daily basis
- Marking identification numbers on materials for shelf storage using an engraver
Job Qualifications (Required)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and overtime as needed
- Ability to stand for several hours at a time
- Great communication skills
- Ability to work well with others
- Understanding of basic safety and OSHA standards
Job Qualifications (Preferred)
- Familiarity with tooling used in a production environment
- Certified forklift operator
