What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mixer Operator position at Silco Incorporated?

Your Role:
- Operates an industrial mixer, vacuum pump, dust collector, scales, and tank press to convert raw materials into finished sealants and adhesives.
- Reads and follows a batch sheet to accurately weigh and combine the proper raw materials in a batch by following order of addition and mixer settings.
- Uses ERP scan gun to issue material, de-issue inventory and input production.
- Locates, weighs, and adds the proper raw materials to mixing vessels both prior to and during the mixing process.
- Maintains and organizes raw materials in the compounding area.
- Cleans the mixer, mixer parts, and mixing cans according to established processes.
- Packages silicone into the appropriate container after it has been blended, properly labels the containers, and records what has been produced on a daily production sheet.
- Collects lab samples of each batch for QC purposes.
- Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
Your Skills:
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Reading comprehension for batch sheets and standard operating procedures.
- Strong mechanical skills and understanding.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently with others.
- Highly motivated to learn and grow with the company.
- Frequently lifts and moves up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis; occasionally lifts and moves up to 100 lbs. independently and with the assistance of a co-worker or equipment.
MINIMUM EDUCATION/DEGREE REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience is preferred.
- Reliable and consistent attendance is an essential function of this position.
