\nResponsibilities
- Perform excavation work to access underground sewer and drain lines
- Install, repair, and replace residential sewer and drainage piping
- Operate mini excavators, trenchers, compactors, and other excavation equipment
- Dig and prepare trenches for sewer and drain installations
- Remove damaged or deteriorated piping and install new drain/sewer lines
- Properly grade and pitch piping to ensure appropriate drainage and flow
- Assist with sewer line inspections and identifying damaged sections of piping
- Backfill, compact, and restore excavation areas following completed installations
- Safely work around existing underground utilities and structures
- Load, unload, and transport tools, materials, and equipment to job sites
- Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA requirements, including proper trench and excavation safety
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
- Communicate professionally with homeowners and team members throughout the project
Qualifications
- Previous experience with sewer, drain, plumbing, excavation, underground utility, or similar installation work preferred
- Experience operating a mini excavator or other excavation equipment strongly preferred
- Knowledge of underground piping, drainage systems, and proper pipe grading is a plus
- Comfortable performing physically demanding work and working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to safely lift and move heavy materials and equipment
- Strong attention to safety and job-site procedures
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to work independently and as part of an installation crew
