Job Description
Sika is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Batch Operator to join our team. In this role, you'll play a critical part in ensuring smooth, efficient, and high-quality production processes. You will be responsible for operating equipment, maintaining a clean work environment, and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Comply with all Sika safety, site security, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in alignment with housekeeping standards and best practices.
- Execute production processes in accordance with quality guidelines, promptly reporting any deviations or variations.
- Meet daily production schedules and help achieve optimal production output.
- Set up materials and verify equipment readiness prior to batch production; assist with shift changeover setup as needed. Accurately complete SAP order confirmations in a timely manner.
- Record production times and quality control test results consistently and accurately.
- Perform production activities such as batch making, packaging finished goods, product setup, and changeovers.
- Operate and maintain production equipment following standard operating procedures and assist with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Support onboarding and training efforts for new or temporary employees.
- Participate in and support continuous improvement initiatives as directed by management.
- Take on additional projects or responsibilities as assigned by supervisors or management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1 - 2 years of experience in an industrial environment
- Forklift operator experience is required
- Prior bulk liquid handling experience is a plus
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
- Strong attention to safety, quality, and detail.
- Team-oriented attitude and willingness to learn.
- SAP or similar system knowledge is a plus.
