Role Overview
We are seeking a Production Support Engineer with strong expertise in observability and monitoring tools (Splunk, AppDynamics) and solid experience in Linux environments. The ideal candidate will ensure application reliability, monitor system health, proactively identify issues, and provide L2/L3 support for critical production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 24/7 production support for mission-critical applications in the telecom domain.
- Monitor application health and infrastructure using Splunk and AppDynamics.
- Analyze logs, set up alerts/dashboards, and perform root cause analysis for incidents.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and SRE teams to resolve production issues.
- Implement best practices for observability, performance monitoring, and incident management.
- Perform patching, upgrades, and routine maintenance on Linux-based systems.
- Support release activities, deployments, and production validations.
- Document procedures, incident resolutions, and standard operating processes (SOPs).
Required Skills
- Core Production Support experience (incident management, troubleshooting, root cause analysis).
- Splunk – log monitoring, dashboard creation, alerting, query optimization.
- AppDynamics – application monitoring, performance tuning, setting up health rules and dashboards.
- Observability – end-to-end monitoring, proactive issue detection.
- Linux/Unix administration – commands, shell scripting, performance tuning.
- Strong knowledge of incident/change/problem management (ITIL).
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
Preferred Skills
- Telecom domain experience.
- Exposure to Cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP) with observability integration.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Ansible, etc.).
- Knowledge of networking basics (TCP/IP, firewalls, load balancers).
- Experience with automation and scripting (Python, Shell, Ansible).
