Summary
The maintenance scheduler PM is responsible for the efficient and effective scheduling of maintenance activities to optimize resource utilization and minimize operational disruption.Responsible for administering the maintenance work schedule via the CMMS system, coordinating labor resources and equipment availability and collaborating with the maintenance team and production. This role is critical to ensure accurate and timely completion of planned maintenance work, enhancing reliability, operational stability and overall plant productivity.
Essential Duties

- Ensure that all scheduled work incorporates required safety procedures, pre-job safety assessments, and permits identified in the job plans.
- Develop, maintain and distribute daily, weekly, monthly and longer term maintenance schedules for mechanical and electrical technicians, incorporating preventive, predictive, corrective and project-related work orders.
- Align work order priorities, resource availability and operational constraints to formulate an efficient and achievable work schedule.
- Ensure scheduling adheres to priority and completion dates incorporating any planned back log work orders.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, (maintenance, production, engineering) to understand the scope of planned maintenance activities and production needs, mitigating downtime and output impact.
- Facilitates routine scheduling meetings to finalize schedules and address any conflicts with Maintenance and Operations. Coordinates and liaises with contractor activities on-site into a Master maintenance schedule.
- Adjust schedules as necessary in response to emergency repairs, changes in resource availability and/or operational upsets, minimizing impact on planned maintenance activities.
- Forecast labor availability and skill requirements to guarantee adequate coverage for the scheduled maintenance activities; allocating appropriate labor to work orders based on skills and availability; balancing workloads across trades to ensure adequate distribution and ensuring all required tools and equipment are available to complete scheduled maintenance activities. Develops schedules to 80% of available manhours and ensures that Maintenance Supervision and Craftsmen have job plan details in paper or digital format.
- Effectively communicate all approved maintenance schedules and changes; collaborate with maintenance planners ensuring seamless transition from planned to scheduled work; provide feedback regarding issues or enhancements related to job plan accuracy, duration estimates or resource requirements influencing scheduling.
- Utilize appropriate systems to build, update and communicate maintenance schedules; ensure the system reflects current schedule status, resource assignments, and work order progress relevant to
- scheduling; maintain system data integrity; track & report on schedule compliance, resource utilization, backlog status and other key scheduling performance indicators. This includes regular weekly Maintenance schedules, as well as Outage and longer-term project durations.

- 3 years demonstrated experience in a safety sensitive environment, preferably in a continuous manufacturing process.
Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- A working knowledge of CMMS/Project Management software.
- Understanding of maintenance lifecycle, from work identification, planning, scheduling, through execution
- Intermediate proficiency in Gsuite
- Intermediate proficiency using root cause analysis to troubleshoot and solve problems
- Knowledge of different scheduling methodologies
- Understanding of how to effectively allocate labor, tools and equipment
- Awareness of operational processes and how maintenance activities can impact them
- Ability to generate reports from a CMMS system
- Ability to identify schedule conflicts, resource constraints and make adjustments
- Familiar with standard manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedure
- Ability to to read and interpret work order scopes, job plans to understand scheduling requirements

Summary
The maintenance planner is responsible for work order management via the CMMS system, developing detailed maintenance job plans, identifying tools, resources and materials required for all planned maintenance activities and ensuring safety protocols are incorporated into all plans. The position is instrumental in optimizing equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and contributing to overall plant safety and productivity through diligent planning and execution.
Essential Duties

- Ensure that all scheduled work incorporates required safety procedures, pre-job safety assessments, and adherence to company and regulatory standards within the job plan.
- Oversee and uphold the planning component of the overall workflow process, including work identification, detailed planning, coordination of planned work, auditing of plan effectiveness, and identifying opportunities for enhancement.
- Develop detailed job plans for all maintenance activities, ensuring safety procedures, labor requirements, materials, tools, work procedures and all necessary information to successfully perform maintenance work is encompassed.
- Develops and Maintains a Job Plan library within the CMMS to be used for future work.
- Acts as a critical link between the site's preventive and predictive maintenance programs, ensuring that all equipment is maintained according to identified timelines. Translates information from PM and PdM findings into actionable repair plans.
- Manage and maintain back log of work orders, ensuring prioritization and incorporation into team schedule for completion. Facilitates routine backlog review and planning prioritization meetings with stakeholders in Maintenance and Operations, Safety, Quality, and Engineering departments.
- Identify and generate purchase requests for non-stocked parts and tools required for the planned maintenance activities.
- Serve as primary liaison for coordination with outside contractors concerning the scope and requirements of planned maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with site policies.
- Process, review, investigate and process maintenance work orders from initiation to a Ready to Schedule or Awaiting Materials status, utilizing the CMMS system.
- Act as a primary user of the CMMS system to ensure development and upkeep of preventive/predictive maintenance plans, detailed job plans, work frequencies and assess data.
- Partner with the maintenance, production and engineering departments regarding planned maintenance activities and resource requisites.
- Identifying materials for planned maintenance workand identifying or creating new items numbers as necessary
