What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lactation Consultant - Certified RN position at Signature Healthcare Test?
In collaboration with the nurse manager and lactation resource nurses, assumes responsibilities for the planning and development of the in and outpatient Lactation Management Service. Assumes responsibility for information management and dissemination to patients and medical/nursing personnel. Applies new knowledge for the provision of direct patient care for the nursing staff and other health disciplines. High school diploma or equivalent required. Certification by the International Board Certification in Lactation Consulting (IBCLC) required. Graduate of an approved school of nursing with current licensure to practice as a registered nurse in Massachusetts required. One to two years experience in lactation consultation required. Supervisory and/or teaching experience with demonstrated interpersonal skills, clinical expertise and professional creativity required.
