What you’ll do
- Support payroll processing, expense reporting, and accounts payable/receivable.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end close activities and basic financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.
- Provide support on audits, tax filings, and budget preparation.
- Partner with leadership to improve efficiency in accounting workflows.
- Full cycle accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
- 0–2 years of accounting experience; 2 years preferred.
- Strong with Excel and comfortable learning accounting/payroll software.
- Detail-oriented and organized; able to manage multiple tasks with accuracy.
- Clear communicator who can explain numbers and findings in plain language.
- Hungry, humble, and eager to grow in a fast-moving environment.
- Learn our accounting systems and internal processes.
- Assist in processing payroll and vendor invoices with oversight.
- Reconcile small accounts and shadow month-end close.
- Deliver your first complete reconciliation with guidance.
- Present a short update to the team on what you’ve learned and improved.
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
- Payroll processing exposure (BambooHR, etc.).
- Familiarity with SaaS or tech-company environments.
- Hands-on experience with accounting in a scaling tech company.
