Job Brief
The Field Service Technician III is responsible for servicing, maintaining, and traveling to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of heavy industrial equipment; must maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional manner.
Responsibilities
- Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots equipment including testing and diagnostics. Monitors, evaluates, and adjusts processes or equipment to maximize quality and efficiency.
- Able to diagnosis simple and complex mechanic problems.
- Assists other technicians with performing repairs and maintenance as needed.
- Understand knowledge of oil field and engine equipment.
- Ability to perform tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Able to complete service jobs as required in a timely manner.
- Effectively communicate with customers, co-workers and management.
- Must follow all company policies and procedures.
- Must attend training classes as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
Qualifications
- 4 years’ experience with similar industrial equipment strongly preferred
- 3-6 years prior field service experience preferred.
- Must be capable of performing complex repairs correctly and safely in a shop environment and in the field.
- Must own a basic set of hand tools.
- Must have a valid driver license or commercial driver license.
- Able to travel overnight between facilities as necessary.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficient in the English language.
Working Conditions
- Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Work long hours and weekends as needed.
- Potential exposure to chemicals, coolants, fire hazards, dust, fumes, as well as high noise levels.
- Able to follow standard safety guidelines and promote a safe work environment.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to reach, bend, push, lift, and climb continuously.
- Reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Other Duties
Overtime will be required based on company demand.
