The Instructional Systems Design (ISD) Specialist / Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator supports the development, delivery, and sustainment of training and education programs across a variety of learning environments. This role combines instructional design expertise with LMS administration to create, manage, and deliver effective, scalable learning solutions.
The position works collaboratively with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and technical teams to design engaging learning content and ensure reliable operation of LMS platforms that support online, blended, and in-person instruction.

In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $1o0,000 to $140,000; however, Sigmatech considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, experience, education/training, key skills, location and often contractual requirements.

Required Experience
Instructional Design & Content Development
- Apply instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, SAM, or Agile approaches) to support the development of training materials and courses.
- Assist in analyzing learning requirements and translating them into effective instructional solutions.
- Develop and update course content, including eLearning modules, instructor-led materials, job aids, and assessments.
- Incorporate multimedia elements (graphics, audio, video, interactive content) to enhance learner engagement.
- Support course evaluations and continuous improvement efforts based on feedback and performance data.
- Administer day-to-day LMS operations, including course setup, user enrollment, and content management.
- Maintain user roles, permissions, and access to ensure appropriate system use.
- Upload, test, and manage courseware using standards such as SCORM or xAPI.
- Provide troubleshooting and technical support to users, instructors, and stakeholders.
- Assist with LMS updates, configurations, and integrations as needed.
- Support delivery of training across multiple formats, including virtual, asynchronous, and blended learning environments.
- Coordinate course schedules, materials, and logistics within the LMS or supporting systems.
- Ensure course availability and accessibility for learners across distributed locations.
- Generate and maintain reports on learner progress, course completion, and system usage.
- Support analysis of training effectiveness and learner engagement.
- Assist in maintaining data accuracy and integrity within the LMS.
- Ensure training materials meet accessibility standards (e.g., Section 508 / WCAG).
- Follow organizational policies and best practices for content development and LMS management.
- Maintain documentation related to courses, processes, and system configurations.
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience supporting instructional design, training development, or education programs.
- Experience working with a Learning Management System (e.g., Blackboard, Canvas, Moodle, or similar).
- Familiarity with eLearning development tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Rise, Captivate, or similar).
- Understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning concepts.
- Experience supporting online or blended learning environments.
- Familiarity with SCORM, xAPI, or other eLearning standards.
- Experience incorporating multimedia or interactive elements into training.
- Basic knowledge of learning analytics or reporting tools.
- Experience working in a government or regulated environment (not required).
