HOSPITAL COLLECTOR
Surgical Hospital seeking a dynamic collector in our billing department to assist in our collections/denial process.
Qualifications required for position:
- Strong knowledge of governmental and insurance claim filing requirements and payment methodologies.
- Ability to analyze payer remittance to determine correct payment.
- Strong written and oral communication and analytical skills.
- Must have previous hospital/clinic business office (billing/collections) experience.
- Ability to work in Excel and Word.
- Experience working with Electronic Medical Records
- Familiar with insurance claims and appeal process
- Able to work independently and manage a high volume of claims and tasks
- Strong attention to detail and problem solving.
