What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Civil Engineer position at Sigil Partners?
This Senior Civil Engineer will be responsible for designing and overseeing construction projects, with an extremely well-established architectural and engineering firm with over 100 years of continued success. They'll ensure land development projects meet safety standards, regulatory requirements, environmental considerations and compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Design site elements for commercial, federal, and industrial clients including parking layouts, sidewalks, grading, utilities, erosion control, and stormwater management systems for new and renovated buildings
• Ensure designs comply with local, state, and federal stormwater regulations (detention/retention)
• Meet with clients and government agencies throughout the design and approval process
• Manage design projects from conception through completion based on project type and experience
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and verify compliance with design specifications and safety standards
• Perform additional duties as assigned
• Travel Estimate: 10%

Qualifications / Prior Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related design field preferred
• 5 years of experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• NC and SC based PE is a plus
• Experience with stormwater detention/retention and LID practices is a plus
• Proficient in designing and permitting stormwater management facilities and erosion control
• Experience with large campus industrial projects is a plus
• Federal DoD/industrial project experience preferred
Salary : $110,000 - $140,000
