Senior Salesforce Platform Engineer
Hybrid schedule (2–3 days onsite weekly) in Shelton, CT
Compensation: $110,000–$145,000 base plus performance bonus
A rapidly growing financial technology organization is seeking an experienced Salesforce Platform Engineer to help modernize and expand a cloud-based platform used by financial professionals nationwide. What You'll
DoYou'll play a key role in evolving a highly customized Salesforce ecosystem while helping separate, enhance, and scale enterprise platforms supporting thousands of users. Responsibilities include designing data movement processes, building secure integrations, improving platform performance, and creating services that support intelligent business workflows.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain scalable ETL and data integration solutions
- Design REST-based APIs connecting Salesforce with internal and third-party systems
- Build cloud-native services using AWS serverless technologies
- Create and optimize data models supporting analytics and AI initiatives
- Develop Salesforce functionality using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Flow
- Participate in Salesforce metadata migrations and multi-environment deployments
- Improve automation, CI/CD processes, and development workflows
- Ensure platform reliability, security, governance, and code quality
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and technical leadership to deliver new platform capabilities
Desired Background
We're looking for engineers who bring a blend of Salesforce expertise, backend development experience, and cloud engineering knowledge.
Preferred qualifications include:
- 5 years building solutions on the Salesforce platform
- Strong experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Salesforce configuration
- Professional Python and SQL development experience
- Experience designing ETL pipelines and enterprise data processing solutions
- Hands-on experience developing REST APIs and system integrations
- Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, Glue, API Gateway, S3, or RDS
- Knowledge of Git, CI/CD practices, and modern software development workflows
Experience with Salesforce deployments, metadata migrations, or multi-org environments
Bonus Experience
Additional experience in any of the following is highly valued:
- AI or machine learning initiatives
- AWS Bedrock or AI-assisted development tools
- Financial services, insurance, or fintech platforms
- Snowflake, Redshift, or cloud data warehouse technologies
- Consulting environments supporting multiple enterprise clients
- SOC2, secure development, or regulated software environments
