The Inventory/Laundry Technician is responsible for completing laundry tasks for all fabrics and trims for the costume build, assist with raw materials management, support duties relating to purchasing and inventory management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with Costumes Project Manager and Technical teams to review costume build project needs and prioritize flow of materials for laundering. Be responsible for timely completion of tasks to ensure that raw materials are fully processed and available next steps in the garment manufacturing process.
- Manage laundry tasks for raw materials, which include washing and drying fabrics and trims, rolling fabrics and trims, and stocking and organizing fabric rolls in the fabric warehouse space.
- Be responsible for completing inventory management tasks like measuring and recording fabric yardages and updating data records for all raw materials.
- Work with Area Buyer to complete receiving duties for all raw materials, assist in researching vendor supply issues and history; update all documentation by entering receiving data for all raw materials.
- All other duties as assigned.
Prerequisites:
- Experience with an inventory management system; retail ordering/restocking experience is helpful.
- Knowledge of textiles, with some garment construction or sewing background, or the desire to learn, is necessary.
- Highly organized and able to accurately manage detailed documentation and paperwork.
- Basic competency in Excel and Word.
- Able to self-manage time and tasks efficiently.
- Demonstrated ability to provide clear and timely communication with team members.
- Proactive in planning and an ability to anticipate needs.

Experience
Required- Retail environment, textile or garment industry, or shipping and receiving.
Education
Required- High School or better
