Are you a compassionate, dependable person who enjoys helping others live safely and comfortably in their own home? We are seeking a Residential Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting.
In this role, you will help individuals maintain their daily routines, make personal choices, and participate in everyday life while promoting dignity, independence, and respect.
Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and toileting, according to individual needs.
- Support meal preparation, eating, hydration, and other daily household routines.
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and comfortable living environment.
- Provide assistance with mobility, transfers, and other physical support needs.
- Encourage individuals to make choices and exercise their rights while respecting privacy, dignity, and personal preferences.
- Follow each individual's Individual Service Plan (ISP) and applicable behavioral support strategies.
- Monitor individuals' health and well-being, recognize changes in condition, and respond appropriately to medical or other emergencies.
- Complete accurate daily service documentation and required records.
- Support individuals with appropriate recreational activities and everyday community participation.

- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must demonstrate patience, reliability, and professionalism.
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license.
Previous caregiving, residential support, or direct care experience is helpful but not required if the candidate can meet the position's training and competency requirements.
