Siffrin is hiring Evening and Weekend Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide compassionate, hands on direct care to adults with developmental disabilities in residential group homes across Stark County.

What You’ll Do
Direct Care & Residential Support
- Provide direct care services in residential group home settings
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, bedtime routines, and meal preparation
- Support household tasks such as light cleaning, laundry, and organization
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment
- Ensure health, safety, and required staffing ratios at all times
Medication & Medical Support
- Administer medications following Ohio DODD guidelines (Medication Administration, Category 1 required)
- Additional certifications (G/J Tube, Cat 2, Insulin, Cat 3) may be required, depending on the assigned Stark County home
- Monitor wellness and report changes or concerns
- Use adaptive and medical equipment as trained
Community & Transportation
- Provide safe transportation to evening and weekend activities, appointments, and outings
- Support participation in community integration activities such as shopping, dining, and recreation
- Operate agency vehicles in compliance with policies and Ohio traffic laws
Documentation & Communication
- Accurately complete daily documentation (paper or electronic)
- Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members across shifts
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and agency standards
Advocacy & Quality of Life
- Encourage independence, choice, and self advocacy
- Promote positive routines, social skills, and self care
- Represent Siffrin, and those served, positively throughout Stark County communities
Pay & Scheduling
- Starting pay: $16.00 per hour
- Evening shifts
- Weekend availability (Saturday & Sunday)
- Full Time: 30 hours per week
- Part Time: Less than 30 hours per week
Schedules may change based on the needs of individuals served. Occasional extended shifts may be required to maintain coverage.
Qualifications:Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
- Assist with mobility, transfers, bathing, and personal care
- Ability to push wheelchairs and use Hoyer lifts
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist for extended periods
- Ability to drive safely throughout Stark County in all weather conditions
- Ability to work independently during evenings and weekends
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass background and motor vehicle checks
- Basic computer skills (Word, Outlook, electronic documentation)
- Willingness to complete all required Ohio DODD and agency training
- Experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), Caregiver, Home Health Aide, PCA, or Residential Support Staff preferred, but not required
