SUMMARY
SIFCO Industries, Inc., a premier publicly held supplier to the aerospace industry located in Cleveland, OH, seeks a qualified Saw Operator. Saw Operator will set up and operate circular, abrasive and band saws used for cutting steel bar stock and billets to be forge in drop hammers and presses.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Setting up and operating all saws (metal cut, abrasive & band saws) used for sawing bar stock and billets used tin presses or drop hammer equipment.
- Setting bar stops for length and weights required.
- Sawing of test pieces used for macro and micro specimens, grain, flow tensile and impact test and experimental work.
- Serializing, moving materials, crane operation, wrapping stock and chamfering stock using chamfering machine
- Operating tow motor
- All other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Experience in a manufacturing setting with a focus on quality
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter and diligent
- Able to respond quickly and pay close attention to details
- Strong comprehension skills
- Ability to problem solve and make sound decisions
- Basic math including using all units of measure such as whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job
