Sierra Staffing Group is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor for a rapidly growing Electronic Manufacturing company in the Reno area.
My client is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations, drive production performance, and help build a strong culture focused on safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement. The position will work closely with Planning, Quality, Engineering, and Materials teams to ensure production schedules and customer commitments are met while driving KPI performance, operational efficiencies, and employee development. Experience within a PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate daily manufacturing operations to support production schedules and customer delivery commitments.
- Promote a culture focused on safety, quality, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure employees are properly trained, supported, and held accountable to company standards and expectations.
- Assign and prioritize work based on production schedules, staffing, materials, and operational demands.
- Identify production risks, capacity constraints, or schedule impacts early and communicate mitigation plans proactively.
- Partner with the Production Planner and cross-functional teams to manage schedule changes and customer priorities effectively.
- Monitor and drive performance against key operational KPIs, including on-time delivery, productivity, quality, rework, labor efficiency, and schedule attainment, using data to identify trends, improve performance, and support business objectives.
- Drive root cause problem solving and corrective actions related to missed deliveries, quality issues, and operational inefficiencies.
- Support standard work, process discipline, and adherence to manufacturing procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical or manufacturing education preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing leadership, production supervision, or related operational experience.
- Experience in PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) manufacturing environments preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with production schedules, manufacturing metrics, KPI management, and operational problem-solving.
