Business Intelligence Analyst - REMOTE

Job Summary 
As the Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst you will be responsible for analyzing customer use cases and business objectives to inform analytics and BI. The BI Analyst will use data analysis and cross-functional collaboration to deliver data-powered insights and dashboards that support life science and sales organizations. Key duties include collecting business requirements, defining metrics and visualizations that meet the business needs, and delivering internal-facing Tableau dashboards.

Primary Responsibilities 

• Partner with key stakeholders to understand internal and external (client) analytic needs and logic
• Collaboratively define success and develop measurement frameworks
• Gather, analyze, and interpret business requirements
• Produce documentation in alignment with standards for business intelligence dashboards
• Ensure consistency in metric names, calculations, and delivery so that metrics always match across dashboards and with the agreed upon definition
• Demonstrate SME regarding data (domains, sources, use) relevant to use cases
• Gain insights into the business aspects of life sciences, healthcare providers, and pharmaceutical industries to tailor dashboards that meet specific use case
• Build scalable, performant BI solutions for addressing internal analytic needs
• Independently work through a Jira backlog of user requests, communicating status, and meeting agreed upon delivery dates
• Provide input on backlog creation and due dates.
• Comply with the RxVantage Tableau security framework
• Bring data to life through storytelling in a clear and meaningful way to audiences with mixed levels of technical expertise
• Utilize data visualization techniques to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders
• Present to the data office and product organization
• Present to clients and cross-functional leaders
• Guide leadership to make the best use of analytics in their domain
• Analyze raw data to uncover patterns, trends, and actionable insights
• Deliver high quality solutions and recommendations to a variety of problems both independently and through the collaboration with team members and business partners
• Reconcile divergent demands from multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced work environment
• Influence and support the standards of excellence and best practices of analytics

Education and Experience 

• A minimum of 3 years experience in business intelligence and data analytics
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Healthcare data experience preferred
• Expertise on Tableau's functionality, including its capabilities, limitations, and assumptions.
• Must include an understanding of security frameworks.
• Strong familiarity with how the data should be stored to maximize BI performance.
• Proficient in data visualization techniques and BI best practices.
• Proficient in data analysis tools (SQL, Python, R)
• Familiarity with Snowflake and PowerBI dashboards preferred
• Ability to translate data insights into visual, actionable BI solutions
• Understanding of key business metrics and financial analysis
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively present complex data findings to diverse audiences
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Experience in collecting and documenting business requirements.
• Understanding of best practices in BI documentation.
