About the Role:
Performs critical program management, technical, or business analysis of major DoD acquisition systems and provides recommendations to ensure program success. Provides program analysis support for all aspects of the program. Participates as a member of and/or supports the overall Program and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs). Collects, completes, organizes and interprets technical data and financial information relating to aircraft acquisition and product programs. Tracks program/project status and schedules. Apply policies and procedures for financial planning.
This position requires a candidate who can write technical directives based upon approved ECPs. Specifically, Technical Directives with technical information pertaining to the operation, maintenance, modification, and repair of equipment.

Must Have:
- Technical Directives writing experience.
- Familiarity of NAVAIR Change Control Board process.
- Experience with configuration management support including processing and finalizing Technical Directives.
- Ability to obtain a secret security clearance.
- Minimum of three years of experience managing complex multidisciplined programs, with a minimum of one year of experience in Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) preferred.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Education:
This position should have a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university. Substitution of Education: An additional five years of relevant Program Management analytical experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
Experience:
This position requires experience managing organizations working on Acquisition Category (ACAT) programs, Abbreviated Acquisition Programs (AAPs), or programs of comparable size and complexity. The position shall possess senior-level Program Management skills relating to tasks, schedules, and people. Specifically, the position should be able to effectively operate with Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) policies and processes, with an understanding of how to effectively work within the constraints of NAVAIR financial, staffing, and contracting systems. The position shall have a minimum of three years of experience managing complex multidisciplined programs, with a minimum of one year of experience in Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) preferred, with knowledge of the land-based and ship environments in which these systems will operate.
