Licensed Vocational Nurse LVN; Licensed Psychiatric Technician LPT

Sierra Health and Wellness uses evidence-based methods to restore families, relationships, and self-worth. By transforming character, we give life back to people who have lost it through substance abuse and mental health issues. 

Our inpatient facility houses 16 clients who receive specialized and personal care from our staff.  Our beautiful, facility is located on 15 acres in Bangor, CA. We strive to assist our American Veterans with their addiction and mental health recovery. Our second location is our neighboring mental health facility with 6 beds.  Our clients come to us voluntarily and can usually perform their own ADLs.  Please check out our beautiful and growing company! 

Positions available :

• Full-time-
  • PM 3pm-11:30pm (Tuesday-Saturday)

Duties and Responsibilities:
Qualified candidates must have a current, valid license to practice nursing. Licensed Vocational Nurses oversee detoxing clients with dual diagnosis, ensure that all medical processes and operations are followed, and documented. The ideal candidate must be willing to undergo a drug screen, TB and physical.

• Supervise other licensed and non-licensed staff in the day-to-day delivery of patient care.
•  Prepare and review medical records and nurses' notes to evaluate the resident's physical and emotional status.
• Provide nursing care according to the Physician's orders, care plans, established standards, policies and procedures. 
• Prepare and monitor patient-administered medications as ordered by the physician in accordance with nursing standards and facility policies.
• Sign, date and perform all charting, record-keeping and care plans following established policies and procedures.
• Provide outstanding individualized resident care

Requirements:

• Current Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license or Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT)
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft word, and e-mail.  Use of EMR system preferred. 
• Ability to coordinate with professionals from diverse backgrounds, working at distinct levels 
• Commitment to the philosophy of recovery and continuity of the program and of consideration and respect of clients.
• Customer service oriented, professional attitude
• Valid Driver's License

  Hourly: $33-$40
