Sierra Executive Solutions, Inc. (SES) is a 3rd party search firm recruiting for a client company's Commercial Project Estimator for an on-site and in-the-field role based in Sparks, NV. Due to the urgency of hire, local Northern Nevada applicants will be given preference for interview.
Position Overview:
Seeking a dependable, knowledgeable and experienced estimator who takes ownership of their work and can be trusted to manage bids from initial review through final submission.
This is a key position whereas reliability, accuracy and follow-through are important qualitied to bring for success in the role.
Requirements:
- 3 years of commercial construction estimating is required, including experience in:
- Landscape and irrigation plan takeoffs
- Reading construction plans, specifications and addenda
- Plant material and landscape materials
- Commercial irrigation systems
- Hardscape and site improvements
- Labor and equipment production rates
- Material pricing and vendor quotations
- Subcontractor scopes and quotations
- Identifying scope gaps and potential change-order issues
- Preparing RFIs and bid clarifications
- Excel and estimating/takeoff software such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift or similar
- Managing multiple bids and bid deadlines
- Reviewing estimates for completeness and accuracy
- Turning awarded projects over to operations/project management

Salary budget is $75K-$80K /- and depending on experience (DOE).
