Position Title:
Development Operations Coordinator
JOB PURPOSE
The Development Operations Coordinator plays a key role in advancing Siena Francis House's mission by supporting fundraising operations, donor and volunteer data management, constituent engagement, grant development activities, and communications initiatives.
This position serves as a collaborative member of the Development Team and works closely with the Development Team to strengthen fundraising effectiveness, improve data integrity, enhance volunteer engagement, and support organizational communications.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to learn all aspects of nonprofit development and communications. This position offers an opportunity to gain broad experience across the areas of database administration, fundraising, volunteer coordination, donor stewardship, grant development, and social media engagement.
This position reports to the Chief Development Officer.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
- Assist with the ongoing management, maintenance, and improvement of Siena Francis House's donor and volunteer databases.
- Conduct data cleanup projects to improve accuracy, reporting capabilities, constituent engagement, and fundraising effectiveness.
- Analyze donor and volunteer data to identify trends, opportunities, and actionable insights that support organizational goals.
- Support gift processing, donor acknowledgments, record maintenance, and related fundraising operations.
- Generate reports, mailing lists, dashboards, and analytics to support fundraising, volunteer engagement, and organizational decision-making.
- Work collaboratively with the Volunteer Coordinator to evaluate volunteer participation trends, identify seasonal staffing needs, and support recruitment and engagement strategies.
- Assist the Grant Writer with research, data collection, reporting, proposal preparation, and grant tracking activities.
- Support social media and communications efforts through content creation, photography, storytelling, and mission-focused outreach across multiple platforms.
- Assist with donor events, volunteer activities, fundraising initiatives, and other special projects as assigned.
- Collaborate effectively with Development Team members, finance staff, program staff, volunteers, and community partners.
- Maintain confidentiality of donor, client, volunteer, and organizational information.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Commitment to Siena Francis House's mission of serving individuals experiencing homelessness.
- Willingness to undergo drug testing and background investigation.
- Work location: In-person.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Degree in business, communications, marketing, nonprofit management, public administration, data analytics, journalism, social sciences, or related field preferred.
- Internship, volunteer, student leadership, fundraising, communications, data analysis, research, or nonprofit experience preferred.
- Experience working with databases, CRM systems, spreadsheets, or data management tools preferred.
- Experience creating social media content and utilizing social media platforms preferred.
