Job Description:
As a Store Employee at [Location] store, you will be essential in delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining an organized shopping environment. Your core skills in stocking, cash handling, and retail sales will enable you to assist customers effectively and manage transactions efficiently. Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to
· Greet customers and provide them with excellent customer service.
· Receive inventory and inspect it for any product damage.
· Discard all expired items according to company policy and place near expiry ones on special promotions.
· Organize the merchandise on shelves and restock it when it becomes empty.
· Perform routine inventory counts and submit reports to Inventory Clerk.
· Perform stocking duties such as lifting, rotating products, and facing out.
· Process customer orders and oversee timely product deliveries.
· Supervise cleanliness and maintenance duties around the grocery section.
· Receive grocery items delivery and confirm the accuracy of both order and invoice.
· Oversee daily price changes and manage register as required.
· Inform customers of WIC benefits and ensure that he/she receives all benefits from their WIC card.
· Upsell to customers through recommendations.
· Answer incoming phone calls from both the Office and customers.
· Close the store 2 times a week.
Qualifications
· Experience in a grocery store setting.
· Strong customer service skills
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· Basic math skills for cash handling
· Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers
· Familiarity with stocking and merchandising procedures
· Knowledge of retail sales and upselling techniques
