About The Role
We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Applications Engineer who will be responsible for the technical selling and support of Siemens EDA's groundbreaking Verification IP (VIP) portfolio. As a Verification IP AE, you will identify and qualify engagements based on customers'
needs and business opportunities, define VIP evaluations and benchmark criteria, execute relevant technical campaigns to meet established goals considering customers' production flows, provide best-in-class support, and work with account managers to resolve sales execution
strategy. You will ensure both the customers' success and the broader use of Siemens EDA's VIP solutions. Our application engineering team is a creative, dynamic, and highly productive small team environment.
Preferred work locations are Bay Area, CA; Austin, TX; Boston, MA; and Boulder, CO. This position can entail as much as 20% travel.

The primary purpose is to work with sales and field technical team members to help lead, define, and implement the technical engagements that support sales campaigns.

The pay range for this position is 129,680 - 246,400 annually with a commission target of 32,420 - 61,600. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.

Job Responsibilities
The primary purpose is to work with sales and field technical team members to help lead, define, and implement the technical engagements that support sales campaigns.
- Provide technical leadership on all aspects of sales campaigns. Chip in and complete pre-sales and post-sales account strategies as a member of the sales team.
- Qualify the technical viability of sales opportunities and communicate them to the sales team.
- Lead VIP portfolio presentations and demonstrations to prospective customers and effectively communicate the value proposition of Siemens EDA solutions to them
- Integrate VIP in customer testbench or guide them to do so themselves.
- Proactively share account, evaluation, competitor, technology, and other useful information with peers, sales teams, management, and product divisions to help us compete more effectively.
- Develop and maintain ongoing positive relationships with customers.
- Ensure customers receive timely, effective support.
- Influence marketing and product groups to meet customers’ needs and shape product direction.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure mutual success.
The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience:
- BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent with 5 years of work experience in semiconductor or EDA OR master's in electrical or computer engineering or equivalent with 3 years of work experience in semiconductor or EDA
- Knowledge of one or more high-speed interface protocols such as PCIe, CXL, UCIe, Ethernet, or USB.
- Knowledge of controllers for one or more high-speed interface protocols
- Expertise in coding with Verilog/VHDL/SystemVerilog, and UVM is mandatory
- Experience with integrating commercial VIP in UVM bench preferred
- Individual leadership and initiative to lead pre-sales accounts
- Excellent presentation skills and verbal/written communication skills
- Strong project management skills and the ability to break down sophisticated problems into manageable tasks
