What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Experiential Producer position at Sidetrack Agency?
Company: Sidetrack Agency US
Founded in Mexico City, Sidetrack Agency is a premier experiential marketing firm with robust operations across Mexico and the United States. We partner with top-tier, industry-leading clients, specializing in the end-to-end strategy, design, and flawless execution of highly immersive experiential campaigns. We pride ourselves on blending world-class creativity with elite technical execution.
We are looking for a Senior Experiential Producer who is a true master of the project lifecycle. At Sidetrack, our Producers are not just on-site logistics coordinators; they are strategic partners involved from the initial RFP to the final load-out.
You will work hand-in-hand with our internal strategy and design teams to translate creative concepts into technically viable, profitable realities. If you have deep expertise in custom fabrication, an eagle eye for budget efficiencies, and the executive presence to manage high-profile clients on-site, we want you on our team.
- RFP & Proposal Development: Engage early in the pitch process. Collaborate with internal departments to identify technical requirements, select strategic vendor partners, and build comprehensive, accurate budgets to generate competitive client quotes.
- Engineering & Fabrication Oversight: Apply your deep knowledge of custom fabrication to detect budget efficiencies, implement engineering best practices, and identify logistical opportunities that optimize the build process before it even starts.
- End-to-End Project Management: Serve as the central hub for the project. Create timelines, manage cross-functional workflows, and ensure no detail falls through the cracks.
- Holistic Vendor Management: Source, negotiate, and manage all external partners throughout pre-production and production. This includes fabrication shops, audio/visual/lighting teams, union/non-union labor, and event staffing.
- On-Site Leadership & Client Relations: Travel on-site to direct the entire physical lifecycle of the activation—from load-in and live show management to strike and load-out. Serve as the primary face of Sidetrack for our clients on the ground, providing calm, professional, and solution-oriented leadership.
- Industry Experience: Proven, verifiable experience working as a Producer specifically within an experiential marketing agency.
- Technical Fluency: Deep knowledge of experiential production mechanics, particularly in custom fabrication builds, staging, and A/V/L integration.
- Financial Acumen: Exceptional budget management skills. You know how to build a quote, track costs meticulously, and protect project margins without sacrificing quality.
- Elite Project Management: Highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple complex workstreams simultaneously.
- Client-Facing Excellence: Outstanding interpersonal skills. You are comfortable, polished, and confident working side-by-side with brand clients during high-pressure, live-event environments.
- Flexibility & Travel: Full availability to travel to project sites and work the necessary hours (including weekends/evenings) to oversee load-ins, live shows, and load-outs.
- Location: Remote (US-based). Strong preference for candidates in the Pacific Time Zone, specifically Southern California (SoCal), to align with our operational footprint.
- Compensation: $110,000 - $130,000 USD base salary.
- Benefits: Competitive compensation package, flexible remote work environment, and growth opportunities within an international expanding agency. Specific benefit packages (healthcare, PTO, etc.) will be tailored based on the employment framework (W-2 vs. 1099).
- Role Type: Full-Time (W-2) or Long-Term Contract (1099)
Our interview process is streamlined and designed to ensure mutual alignment. It consists of the following steps:
- Initial Screening: A brief introductory call to discuss your background and the role scope.
- Panel Interview: A technical and operational discussion with two Directors within our Production area.
- Final Interview: A strategic conversations with Sidetrack’s CEO.
