Comercial Roofer Operator

Position Overview:Location: Dallas/Richardson, Texas

Company: Pillar TX Roofing is seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Operator to oversee daily operations, manage projects from estimate to completion, and coordinate subcontractor relationships. This role is critical to our operations as we transition ownership and scale our commercial roofing business.

Key Responsibilities:Operations Management:

• Oversee day-to-day commercial roofing operations
• Manage project timelines from initial contact through completion
• Coordinate with subcontractors and ensure quality standards
• Handle emergency roof repairs and urgent client requests
• Conduct site inspections and quality control checks
• Maintain relationships with existing clients and generate repeat business

Project Coordination:

• Review and understand project specifications and drawings
• Schedule crews and subcontractors for optimal efficiency
• Ensure all work meets building codes and industry standards
• Monitor project budgets and material costs
• Handle change orders and scope adjustments
• Document project progress and maintain records

Client Relations:

• Serve as primary point of contact for commercial clients
• Address client concerns and resolve issues promptly
• Provide project updates and maintain communication
• Build long-term relationships for repeat business

Team Leadership:

• Coordinate with estimators on project feasibility
• Manage subcontractor performance and compliance
• Ensure safety protocols are followed on all job sites
• Train and mentor team members as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of commercial roofing experience (required)
• Proven track record managing commercial roofing projects
• Strong understanding of TPO, EPDM, modified bitumen, and other commercial roofing systems
• Knowledge of building codes, OSHA safety requirements, and industry standards
• Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple projects
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work in Dallas/Richardson area

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with roof inspections and condition assessments
• Knowledge of warranty processes and manufacturer requirements
• Relationships with local subcontractors and suppliers
• Estimating experience (beneficial but not required)
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
