Duties
- Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages such as coffee, tea, smoothies, and specialty drinks using established recipes and standards.
- Operate POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales accurately and efficiently.
- Manage retail sales transactions by handling cash, credit cards, and mobile payments with precision.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders promptly, and addressing inquiries professionally.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area by cleaning equipment, counters, tables, and food prep zones in accordance with food safety standards.
- Assist in food handling and preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks as needed.
- Support kitchen operations by organizing supplies, restocking items, and ensuring food safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers quickly while maintaining quality standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or café environments is highly preferred; barista experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively.
- Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately and managing sales totals.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills to balance multiple responsibilities seamlessly.
