Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide attentive, personalized service to enhance their visit.
- Prepare a variety of beverages, including: specialty coffees and teas while following established recipes and standards.
- Operate POS systems such as TOAST POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and give correct change while maintaining precise cash handling procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of the restaurant, including: food handling stations, beverage prep zones, and seating areas, while adhering to food safety standards.
- Support food, beverage delivery to ensure timely order fulfillment during busy periods.
- Manage time effectively during high-volume periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining quality standards.
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times to ensure guest safety.
- Engage with customers to promote products and upsell items when appropriate, boosting sales opportunities.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or café environments is highly preferred; barista experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast enhances efficiency in processing transactions.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and managing sales totals accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques.
- Experience in beverage preparation, especially coffee or specialty drinks, may be a plus.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours while maintaining high-quality service standards.
Pay: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
