Duties

• Greet guests warmly, present menus confidently, and assist with menu selections to enhance their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely and correct processing of sales transactions
• Serve food and drinks efficiently, including handling beverage service, wine knowledge, spirits experience, and cocktail preparation when needed
• Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales opportunities while providing personalized recommendations based on guest preferences
• Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately and process payments seamlessly through POS systems like OpenTable or other platforms
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure food quality and presentation meet high standards; assist with food handling and basic food preparation when required
• Support guest relations by addressing inquiries promptly, resolving concerns professionally, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with fine dining or hospitality backgrounds
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms; experience with OpenTable is a plus
• Demonstrated skills in customer service, guest relations, and effective communication
• Ability to manage time efficiently during busy hours while maintaining attention to detail
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail crafting, and beverage service techniques
• Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and handling cash confidently
• Food safety certification or knowledge of sanitation standards in the food industry
• Prior experience in serving or host/hostess roles preferred; experience with food preparation or kitchen operations is advantageous
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
