Job Title: Operational Technology (OT) Network Engineer (Mid–Senior Level)
Location: Tulsa, OK- HYBRID (NEED LOCAL CANDIDATE)
Duration: 12-month contract (high potential for extension/convert to FTE)
Interview Process: Virtual Onsite Lab
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled OT Network Engineer with strong experience in industrial/operational environments (energy, utilities, manufacturing, or transportation). This role focuses on network operations, deployment, security, and automation across critical infrastructure systems.
Key Responsibilities
Network Operations & Monitoring
- Monitor network health, performance, and availability across OT environments
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues and respond to alerts
- Validate communication paths (cellular, satellite, terrestrial)
- Analyze logs and support incident response & restoration
Configuration & Deployment
- Configure and deploy routers, switches, and firewalls
- Execute migrations and device cutovers using standard templates
- Support circuit installations and perform post-deployment validation
- Maintain accurate configuration records
Security & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to network/security standards
- Support audits, patching, and vulnerability remediation
- Maintain secure configurations and monitor unauthorized changes
- Integrate devices with authentication and logging systems
Documentation & Collaboration
- Maintain network diagrams, IP documentation, and SOPs
- Contribute to knowledge base and ensure version-controlled changes
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and field teams
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders
Automation & Improvement
- Develop scripts/tools for deployment and validation
- Support automation workflows and streamline processes
- Assist in lab testing prior to production rollout
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong networking fundamentals (routing, switching, firewalls)
- Hands-on experience with DMVPN and BGP (must-have)
- Experience with routers, switching infrastructure, and network operations
- Proven experience in configuration, deployment, and implementation
