Chief Inspector

SI Engineering, P.C. (SIE) is a full-service consulting engineering firm based in downtown Manhattan providing services in civil, structural, transportation engineering, bridge & facility inspection, construction management & inspection and lighting design. We are engaged in local community improvement projects to large, high-profile, multi-billion-dollar infrastructure projects with a strong reputation of delivering a wide range of projects for our clients in the public sector.

SIE is looking for a Chief Inspector to support a bridge project on Long Island.

Responsibilities:

• Monitoring contractor’s work and ensuring it is as per the plans and specifications
• Preparing daily reports
• Assisting Office Engineer as needed

Qualification & Skills:

• Fifteen years of bridge/highway construction inspection experience
• Masters in Civil Engineering or NICET IV certification required
• Local experience preferred
• Experience in lighting and traffic signal systems preferred
• OSHA 30

Expected salary range is $140,000 - $156,000 annually. Actual compensation will be dependent on the individual’s qualifications, skills, experience, and physical work location.
