What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paralegal position at Shyne Law Group?
We are a boutique Trusts and Estates law firm that designs, prepares and executes estate plans, handles probate and estate administration matters, forms business entities and assists in their compliance, transfers title to properties and other various private client services. We are looking for a paralegal to add to our team. You will work under the supervision of two attorneys.
Our perfect fit would be a paralegal with 3 years of experience in draft estate plans, deed/title work, and government applications such as Medicaid and Veterans benefits.
**Duties:**
- Assist attorneys with legal research, document drafting, and case preparation
- Manage and organize legal documents using document management systems
- Conduct research on various legal topics including probate, estate planning, guardianship and conservatorship
- Prepare and file legal documents with courts and government agencies
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other involved parties
- Assist in trial preparation and attend court hearings when necessary
**Qualifications:**
- Strong computer skills and working in a cloud based environment
- Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies or related field preferred
- Proven experience working as a Paralegal in a law firm or legal department
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation
- Proficiency in legal drafting and writing skills
- Familiarity with document management systems and software
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
