Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of floors, surfaces, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
• Handle chemical agents safely while applying cleaning solutions for sanitation and stain removal, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures.
• Conduct heavy lifting tasks following safe lifting practices to move furniture, supplies, or equipment as needed for cleaning or maintenance purposes.
• Maintain cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and disinfecting designated areas to ensure a hygienic environment.
• Operate custodial equipment including floor buffers, vacuums, and other cleaning tools efficiently and safely.
• Support facilities maintenance activities such as minor repairs or painting projects to uphold the overall condition of the premises.
• Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning operations to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health regulations.

Requirements

• Proven custodial or janitorial experience with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning practices preferred.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and other custodial tools.
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures.
• Physical capability for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking throughout shifts.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of sanitation and cleanliness.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
