The Legal Assistant will provide administrative and legal support to attorneys, including managing schedules, drafting legal documents, and maintaining case files. Additional responsibilities include conducting legal research, preparing correspondence, and coordinating with clients and other parties as needed. This is a contract, on-site role based in Birmingham, AL.
- Strong administrative skills including document organization, case file management, and scheduling
- Proficiency in drafting legal documents, correspondence, and proofreading
- Basic knowledge of legal research and legal terminology
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to manage tasks efficiently in a fast-paced on-site environment
- Familiarity with office productivity software and legal management systems
- Experience in a legal office setting is a plus
- An associate’s degree, certificate in legal studies, or equivalent education and/or experience
