The HR Compliance Analyst is responsible for supporting the establishment, communication and maintenance of Shutterfly and Lifetouch policies and practices in compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations. This role will partner with the company HRIS team and external vendors to ensure that software configuration supports operational processes. Additionally, this role will be responsible for conducting audits and fulfilling statutory reporting requirements.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- In partnership with Sr. Manager, HR Compliance, research new regulations and statutory requirements and their application to the business.
- Partner with internal HRIS team to ensure company software configuration supports compliance requirements.
- Provide excellent customer service as the point of contact for inquires related to Form I-9, background checks and other compliance-related areas. Send company communications to impacted populations to inform on company policy changes.
- Adjudicate background checks for US job candidates. Maintain strong working relationships with and ensure timely payment of background check vendors. Maintain the policy and procedures for background checks, including motor vehicle rechecks per jurisdictional requirements.
- Review compliance training completion reports on a weekly basis and determine escalation needs based on non-compliance.
- Develop and administer audits for pre-employment background checks, wage and hour, Form I-9 and other areas as needed.
- Review legal contracts for school photography to assess risk and ensure compliance with district, local, state and federal rules and regulations
- Maintain an organized and accurate HR Document Library by posting relevant documents and archiving outdated documents in a timely manner.
- Manage the compliance poster program across Shutterfly companies and maintain physical poster locations and online service link locations.
- Maintain standard work documentation for primary responsibilities.
- First point of contact for temporary and part-time compliance employees.
- Serve as back-up contact for immigration and sponsorship issues/questions
- Performs other projects or miscellaneous duties as requested or assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or similar field or equivalent related experience
- PHR or SPHR Certification and/or SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of Human Resources experience specifically in HR compliance or as an HR Generalist
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive information
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time and prioritize work to meet deadlines
- Detail-oriented and proactive with strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills and a customer-first mindset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel
