Buyer II

The Buyer II is responsible for sourcing, procurement, and management of raw materials supporting Shutterfly products. Responsibilities will include efficient execution of purchase orders, negotiating with suppliers, tracking orders, maintaining inventory across multiple sites, quality assurance and working with internal teams supporting pricing and inventory availability.

Responsibilities Include

• Perform standard procurement tasks such as: reviewing forecast and inventory, placing purchase orders, managing inbound deliveries, resolving discrepancies, meeting with strategic suppliers on cadence to review forecast and long-term supply commitments.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to meet procurement objectives
• Maintain master data in SAP S4Hana and perform ad-hoc checks to ensure data integrity
• Root cause purchase order issues, interfacing as necessary with functional departments (i.e. Material and Demand Planning, Shutterfly Partner Fulfillers, Warehouse, Quality, Accounts Payable, and Manufacturing)
• Coordinate transportation of purchases as needed and follows up through delivery
• Facilitate material returns to supplier due to quality issues, delivery terms, etc.
• Perform other duties, ad hoc analyses, and special projects as assigned by manager
  
  

Requirements

• College degree or 3-5 years of experience as a Buyer or similar direct material procurement experience preferred
• MS Office experience. Excel knowledge is a must
• Experience using ERP System (SAP S4Hana experience plus)
• Must be able to present data and analyses in an organized, clear, and concise manner
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks
• Familiarity with Strategic Sourcing
• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills
