Summary Of Position
The Maintenance Mechanic Grade II possesses mechanical and electrical skills that allow them to install, maintain, troubleshoot, setup, and repair all manufacturing, distribution, and facility equipment. The Maintenance Mechanic Grade II will perform generally defined tasks with little or no direct supervision and attend to assigned duties in a self-directed manner. The Maintenance Mechanic Grade II interacts with all members of the Maintenance Department, Manufacturing Coaches, Team Leads, Machine Operators, Facilities Management, and Manufacturing Engineering and outside vendors/suppliers in the execution of his duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other Duties As Assigned)
- Perform duties and develop skill sets as defined in the Maintenance Mechanic Grade II job description and Training Skills Matrix.
- Train and empower other mechanics and machine operators in skill sets required to keep equipment in peak operating condition.
- Cultivation of company’s culture and values by promoting communication, teamwork, and respectful treatment of all individuals.
- Execute corrective and preventative work orders as assigned or as date and priority dictate and skill set allows.
- Participate in ordering and expediting machine parts to ensure minimal downtime of manufacturing equipment including running for parts when necessary.
- Make proper inventory adjustments when pulling machinery parts from inventory using SAP and bring any inventory discrepancies to the attention of the Maintenance Coach.
- Participate in TPM, 5S, SMED and other Lean initiatives as assigned by the Maintenance Coach.
- Operates shop machinery (drill press, band saw, arbor press, bench grinder, milling machine, lathe, and welders) in the execution of work orders.
- Operates material handling equipment (pallet jack, sit down fork truck, sky jack, and golf cart) in the execution of work orders.

Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1 year maintenance experience.
- Ability to work on ladders/lift cages/skyjack and use small power and hand tools.
- Experience operating shop machinery: drill press, band saw, milling machine, etc.
- Understand basic welding principles.

- Work requires hearing, mental and visual attention.
- Able to lift 50 lbs., able to bend and lift frequently, and able to work around dust.
