Shunli Steel USA Inc. is seeking a dependable and hardworking Shop Helper to join our steel manufacturing facility in Carlyle, Illinois.
This is a hands-on position supporting daily shop operations, production equipment setup, material handling, and general manufacturing activities.
Responsibilities
- Assist machine operators and technicians with daily production activities.
- Help with equipment setup, maintenance, and general shop work.
- Move, organize, and prepare steel materials, tools, and equipment.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and material handling.
- Use basic hand tools and power tools safely.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Perform other shop-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing, warehouse, is a plus, but not required.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to use common hand tools.
- Forklift or overhead crane experience is a plus.
- Ability to perform the physical duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Reliable attendance and a positive attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions and work well with others.
