Core Responsibilities
- QuickBooks Management: Record and categorize daily transactions, perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations, and maintain the general ledger.
* ADP payroll processing, benefits, 401k
- Government Compliance: Maintain DCAA-compliant accounting processes, ensuring the system can accurately track direct and indirect costs.
- Project Cost Tracking: Assign labor and expenses to specific government contracts or Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) to facilitate accurate billing and audits.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage vendor payments and create client invoices that align with specific contract terms and approved budgets.
- Payroll & Time Tracking: Oversee payroll processing and ensure employees log hours against correct contract codes as required by DCAA-approved timekeeping rules
- Financial Reporting: Generate monthly profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and specialized reports for government agencies
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Expertise in QuickBooks: Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Desktop, including experience with advanced integrations like Expensify or Bill.com.
- Government Contracting Knowledge:Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and DCAA audit requirements.
- Detail-Oriented: Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in complex ledgers to prevent audit red flags.
- Audit Support: Experience preparing documentation for internal and external government audits.
