Experience
- Minimum of one year of full-time experience working with preschool-aged children in a classroom setting.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities.
- Experience working with diverse learners and supporting individual learning styles.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of child development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Ability to independently design, adapt, and implement curriculum that supports social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to partner effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
- Organizational skills for documenting student development, preparing lesson plans, and maintaining classroom environment.
Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and evaluate daily curriculum that promotes whole child development.
- Assess and document each child’s progress; share updates with families and conduct parent-teacher conferences.
- Support children in daily routines, including potty training and self-care skills, as needed.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to maintain a nurturing and professional school culture.
- Ensure compliance with all state licensing regulations and Shu Academy’s policies.
- Maintain classroom setup, organization, and basic cleanliness.

- Must be reliable and understand the importance of working as a team member
- Passionate about early childhood education and dedicated to helping each child reach their full potential.
- Flexible, patient, and able to adapt to changing classroom needs.
- A team player who is also comfortable taking initiative and working independently.
All levels must speak fluent English at a teaching level with excellent communication skills.
