What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teradata Architect / Lead position at Shrive Technologies LLC?
- Lead the design and architecture of enterprise data warehouse solutions using Teradata.
- Define data models, integration strategies, and performance optimization techniques.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and architecture blueprints.
- Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards and best practices
- Deep expertise in Teradata architecture, utilities (TPT, BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad), and SQL
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and ETL/ELT processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, or a related field
• 10 years of experience in data architecture, with at least 5 years in Teradata environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Teradata SQL, Teradata utilities.
• Proficient with scripting language Python, PowerShell for automation.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience working with Azure cloud-based environment is a plus
• Experience with Data governance, data security, data quality, data lineage, data catalog and compliance practices
• Excellent problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Teradata certifications (e.g., Teradata Certified Professional, Teradata certified Master).
• Exposure of data lake architectures and integration with Teradata.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and collaborative development environments
