Job Summary
As a Junior Java Developer, you will work alongside experienced software engineers to design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications. This role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals who are passionate about programming, problem-solving, and learning modern software development practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain Java applications under the guidance of senior developers.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following coding standards.
- Assist in designing and implementing new application features.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including QA, business analysts, and product managers.
- Develop and consume RESTful APIs.
- Participate in code reviews and Agile development ceremonies.
- Write unit tests and support application testing.
- Maintain technical documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing.
- Continuously learn new technologies and best practices in Java development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in Java development.
- Strong understanding of Core Java, object-oriented programming (OOP), and data structures.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
- Understanding of REST APIs and web application development.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced development environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring MVC, or Hibernate.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or React is a plus.
- Understanding of Maven or Gradle build tools.
- Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is an advantage.
- Experience with JUnit, Mockito, or other testing frameworks.
- Internship, academic projects, or personal Java projects demonstrating practical skills.
