Job Overview
Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. We have an opportunity for a FT Environmental Services Supervisor for the evening shift of 1pm - 9:30pm, with occassional weekends.
Responsibilities
Acts as liaison for Environmental Services Manager & Leads and Environmental Services Techs. Assist in the supervision of day to day activities of the facility and subordinates. Inspects and surveys for compliance with departmental standards. Works with Manager to plan and achieve hospital and departmental goals and initiatives.
- Acts as liaison for Environmental Services Manager & Leads and Environmental Services Techs. Demonstrates an understanding of each assignment area’s responsibilities and duties. Orients and trains employees.
- Assist in the supervision of day to day activities of subordinates. Inspects and surveys for compliance with departmental standards, documents discrepancies and plans course of action to correct deficiency with full knowledge of supervisory responsibilities.
- Works with Manager to plan and achieve hospital and departmental goals and initiatives.
- Performs day to day assignments in addition to lead duties as well all Environmental Services Tech duties.
- May assume the responsibility of Manager in his/her absence. Assists the Manager with scheduling and assigning work details, auditing exception reports on employee time management (clock in/out and vacation/sick)..
- Performs other job related duties as assigned by the Department Director, Manager, Designee.
Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma/GED preferred
Skills
4 years supervisory experience preferred
4 years environmental health experience preferred
