Position Overview/Description:

The Accounts Payable “A/P” Supervisor will report directly to the Corporate Accounting Manager and will oversee the A/P Clerk staff and the successful operation of the A/P department. The A/P team processes vendor bills and payments for all GrayMar locations across the country. This position requires strong attention to detail, data analysis, excellent communication skills, uplifting leadership, problem-solving capabilities, ability to handle a high volume of transactions in a fast-paced environment, vendor relationship management, and a keen understanding of accounting principles, with a focus on accuracy and timely processing of vendor bills.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and direction to the Accounts Payable team and model GrayMar values.
• Ensure each employee is prepared and educated in safe work practices.
• Develop, coach, train, and promote employees. Provide ongoing feedback and motivation, including performance goals.
• Review vendor bills for final internal control purposes during and after the approval process.
• Review data entered provides detailed information that assists the Accounting and Finance Team.
• Process payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Review and process monthly rent payments for several locations.
• Advise Corporate Accounting Manager and CFO of cash flow requirements for processing vendor payments.
• Resolve Sync Conflicts between bill.com and QuickBooks.
• Review vendor information for accuracy.
• Ensure W9’s are received.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Familiarity with Bill.com or other expense software
• Microsoft Office Suite
• QuickBooks Online/Intuit Enterprise Suite

Education and Experience:

• Minimum of five years of equivalent work experience required
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
