POSITION: Security Monitor
2026-2027 School Year
Shrewsbury Public Schools is currently accepting applications for a Security Monitor at Shrewsbury High School.
We are interested in candidates who are invested in the achievement, equity, and access of all learners in and beyond the classroom.
This position is 5 hours per week and the hours are 2:30pm-5:00pm, Thursday – Friday, when school is in session. The pay rate is $17.39-$19.13 per hour based on experience. This position is not benefit eligible.
Interested internal candidates may apply, with hours not to exceed 40 per week.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•Monitor students in the SHS Commons and hallways with reporting any behavioral issues to building administration
•Facilitate exit of students out of the building at 4:30pm
•Complete a building walkthrough at the end of every shift to ensure all students are out of the building
•Routinely review the schedule of after school events at the High School
•Account for and direct visitors according to school guidelines and policies
•Monitor building use and ensure adherence to school guidelines and policies and report any building issues to building administration and/or facilities
•Ensure overall safety and security of the building
