SHR Talent is partnering with a growing organization seeking an IT Support Administrator to join its IT team. This position is ideal for a hands-on IT professional who enjoys a combination of technical support, systems administration, and infrastructure support while providing exceptional service to end users.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day desktop, help desk, and end-user support, troubleshooting hardware, software, connectivity, and system issues.
- Manage and resolve support tickets while delivering timely, customer-focused technical assistance.
- Perform system backups, recovery operations, file maintenance, and system monitoring to support uptime and performance.
- Install, configure, test, and maintain system software, upgrades, patches, and Windows updates.
- Administer and support Microsoft Active Directory, Azure AD, DNS, DHCP, authentication, and identity services.
- Support Windows environments, physical servers, Active Directory authentication and security, VMware, Citrix, Nutanix, and Pure Storage environments.
- Maintain KBOX imaging and driver feeds for desktop environments.
- Provide IT support for facility EMR systems.
- Ensure systems meet established security requirements by maintaining patches, following security policies, and supporting cyber-defense technologies.
- Assist with virtualization initiatives, infrastructure improvements, and technology implementations.
- Participate in an after-hours/on-call support rotation as needed.
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in IT support, help desk, systems administration, or a related technical environment.
- Hands-on experience supporting Windows environments and Microsoft Active Directory.
- Experience with Azure AD, DNS, DHCP, VMware, and Citrix preferred.
- Knowledge of server administration, virtualization, system backups, patching, and IT security best practices.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, systems, and connectivity.
- Strong customer-service mindset with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users.
- Ability to prioritize multiple support requests and technical issues in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to participate in after-hours/on-call support as required.
