The Business Development Manager will play a critical role in driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, cultivating client relationships, and expanding the company's presence within the logistics and transportation industry. The ideal candidate for the Business Development Manager role will bring a strong background in logistics, freight, or transportation sales, with a proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets, will have excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, and will be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities within the logistics and transportation industry
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve company growth objectives
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding and service delivery for new clients
- Attend industry conferences, networking events, and trade shows to promote the company and generate leads
- Track and report sales metrics and pipeline activity using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- 3 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the logistics, freight, or transportation industry
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong knowledge of supply chain and transportation services, including Third-Party Logistics (3PL), warehousing, and freight forwarding
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems such as Salesforce
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events
