Company Description
Showrunner is the most comprehensive guide to art in New York City, now available in the Apple and Google Play Stores. We’re a small team spanning tech and the art world, including a data scientist, software engineer, gallerist, art advisor, and venture capitalist, building Showrunner around a simple belief: the art world is incredible, but it should be easier to navigate. By making it easier to find what’s happening, more people participate and the ecosystem grows.
Role Description
We’re looking for a motivated, detail-oriented intern to support Showrunner’s social media, editorial, partnerships, and event production efforts. This role is ideal for someone interested in the intersection of art, culture, media, and tech, and eager to gain hands-on experience at an early-stage startup.
Responsibilities
- Assist with social media content creation and scheduling
- Support Substack/newsletter drafting, editing, and publishing
- Help with media partner and community outreach
- Assist in event production, including gallery events and cultural programming
- Support ad-hoc projects across content, partnerships, and operations as needed
Qualifications
- Strong interest in art, culture, media, or startups
- Experience with or interest in social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, etc.)
- Familiarity with Canva, Google Slides, Capcut or similar tools is a plus
- Strong written communication and attention to detail
- Self-starter with a positive, collaborative attitude
Details
- Ability to attend multiple art events a week is required
- Internship eligible for school credit
- Part-time, flexible schedule
- NYC-based preferred (with opportunities to attend events)
- This is an internship for school credit with room to grow
