Show Me Supports, LLC offers Individualized Supported Living, Shared Living (Host and Companion Home), and a variety of Personal Assistant services for individuals with IDD in Southwest Missouri in order to enhance their lives through offering full participation and integration into their community.
Essential Responsibilities/Job Duties
- Performing personal care supports, including assistance with basic personal hygiene and grooming, nutrition, and health care related oversight
- Ensuring individual safety and maintaining a safe environment
- Reminding/supporting individuals with medication management
- Documenting services provided
- Performing home management supports such as light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, and cleaning
- Planning meals, shopping for groceries, preparing and serving food/meals, feeding and clean-up
- Accompanying individual to scheduled appointments
- Transporting individual to choice of community outings
- Other duties as assigned to support an individual's needs
Qualifications:
- High school degree/GED required
- 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to communicate (verbally and written) with all levels of personnel, internal and external to the company
- Ability to handle physical aspects of job, including bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, and walking for periods of time
- Must maintain state regulatory certifications, as required by state/program requirements
- Medication Administration as required by state/program requirements
